SUITABILITY

Is artificial grass suitable for children and pets?

Yes. All of the artificial grass we supply is suitable for gardens used by children and pets such as dogs.

Is artificial grass abrasive on skin?

No. The artificial grass we supply and install has soft fibres that won’t graze skin.

Can water travel through artificial grass?

Yes. Our artificial grass is porous, designed to allow water filter through and drain freely.

Does artificial grass need to be maintained?

Yes. While artificial grass needs much less maintenance than a traditional lawn, it does still need some basic care. To keep artificial grass looking its best, leaves and other debris should be removed on a fairly regular basis. Your lawn will benefit from occasional brushing with a stiff brush and, for more extreme mess, may need a quick hose wash.

GUARANTEE

Is your artificial grass guaranteed?

Yes. All of our artificial grass comes with a ten year guarantee, meaning you can rest assured that your lawn will last.

How long does artificial grass last?

This depends on maintenance and the level of wear and tear the lawn experiences, however, artificial grass can last for many years. In a heavily used sports area artificial grass will last around 10 years. In an area used for leisure, such as a garden you can expect it to last up to twice as long.

Does artificial grass fade?

No. All of the artificial grass we supply is UV stable, meaning it won’t fade in the sunlight. Your artificial grass will remain looking lush and green as the day you have it installed for years to come.

CHOOSING YOUR ARTIFICIAL GRASS

What is the best pile height for an artificial grass lawn?

We recommend a pile height of between 30mm and 45mm in length for the best looking artificial grass lawn. Artificial grass longer than this can result in a flattened lawn that won’t look its best and is more difficult to maintain.

Can I request artificial grass samples?

Yes. You can request samples very easily via our website. Samples help you choose the right lawn for you and ensure you know exactly what you’re buying.

GENERAL ADVICE

Can artificial grass be used indoors?

Yes, we’ve carried out a number of projects for customers to use artificial grass indoors, particularly for commercial customers.

Can I barbecue on artificial grass?

You should never have a barbecue or open flame close to artificial grass. Items like heaters and BBQs shouldn’t be placed on artificial grass as the grass may melt when exposed to high temperatures.

Can a trampoline be placed on artificial grass?

Yes is the short answer. As long as the legs of the trampoline are not sharp or jagged then the grass will stay in good condition. It’s also important to ensure that the sub-base below the artificial grass has been properly prepared so that there is no lasting indentation from the trampoline.

When the trampoline has been moved after a while of sitting on the artificial grass the blades can be brushed up to make the artificial turf look as good as the day it was installed. The same applies to any other equipment that is placed on the grass for a long period of time such as play areas and football goals. You can also use off-cuts of artificial grass to place under the legs of any object to make it easier to brush up the grass after the object is moved. Trampolines can also be sunk into the ground in your garden and lay artificial grass around it.

Is artificial grass environmentally-friendly?

Yes. Artificial grass doesn’t need to be watered and doesn’t require chemical fertilisers and weed killers to look fantastic. An artificial lawn also doesn’t need to be mowed, saving fuel being burned or electricity used.
